Teacher courses at a Lighthouse

Dear Teachers, How would you like to spend a week at an island lighthouse off the coast of Maine?

The Department of Marine Resources invites you to enroll in a summer course at their Burnt Island Light Station in Boothbay Harbor. There is something for everybody: Exploring the Ocean through Children’s Literature (July 6th-10th); Discovering Burnt Island - for Teachers and their Family (July 26th-30th); and Nature Journaling (August 9th-13th) with nationally recognized “guru” Claire Walker Leslie. All activities are aligned with the Maine Learning Results earning participants 4.5 CEUs (equal to 3 recertification credits) or 3 Graduate Credits from the UMF (approval pending).
