Not letting me substitute

I took the buyout last year, but I am now being told that I cannot sub. Does anyone know anything about this? If so please let me know, and if it is for only 1 year like I have heard. Thank guys and gals.

RoyBoom I think a lot of it depends on who you talk to. I'm in the same boat and I've called retirement a couple times and gotten different information. The way I'm understanding it now is that you can sub directly for the school, but you can't get paid throug any third party, like Aesop. KMI I was wondering who told you that you cannot sub? Have you talked directly with someone at the retirement office in Lansing? You may need to be on hold for quite a while, if you do, unfortunately. Have you tried emailing them with specific questions - I mean, very specific to your situation?
