Recent Grad, what are my chances of finding a job?

I recently applied for a job, rejected of course. Was informed that out of 296 candidates 28 were called back for interviews. This was for one Social Studies position. As a recent grad. should I even bother to look in Michigan?

Been there I have been in your position. I would apply for elementary jobs, which is such a saturated field in Michigan. The only way to get a job was based on who you knew. I had a great student teaching experience and that principal told me she would love to hire me, but her district had no jobs.
