Highland Park Schools has just gone charter. Leona takes over the school system.What are they like to work for and do they pay decent.Some charters have no raises at all. Am really at my wits end. does anybody know them . Need any information . please help.
Worked for them I worked for Leona Group in 2004-2005. Starting pay was $32,000. Pay raises were not guaranteed (no steps, no slides). They had a VERY high turnover rate with teachers.

san I was thinking about applying to the Leona Group, but after hearing that I don't think I will, thanks for the info.

MD Well, they certainly haven't gone up in pay any- I worked for them for about 2 weeks in Saginaw, starting pay (even though I have taught for 10 years) was $30,000. I begged for more (yes, begged!) but they said they just couldn't. I was so desperate that I took the job.
