I am a MSU graduate with a degree in Elementary Education/Language Arts. Right after my year long internship I moved to Texas in search of a job (right in the midst of the school budget crisis in Michigan) and have been here for the past 3 years, teaching 2nd grade. I recently got married and my husband and I are looking to move back to Michigan (Traverse City) to settle down. I am wondering how likely it is to get hired to teach in a Traverse City School. If anyone has any information, advice, help, connections, I'd be more than appreciative. Thank you!

NOMI We're still pretty much in the school budget crisis in Michigan. A district outside of Saginaw simply kicked students out and closed the doors two months early when they ran out of money and ceased operations last year. It's bad in Michigan.
