Does anybody know when the Kansas City suburban school
districts hire elementary teachers? I sent my
applications/files in March, but have only had two
interviews (with no job offers). I also followed up
recently with emails to my top choices, with only one
replying that "they are still getting applications." I'm
getting pretty frustrated since I had a 4.0, plus fantastic
references from my cooperating teacher and college
professors. Many of the teachers in my neighborhood tell me
to "hang on" because most of them didn't get hired until
August (when final enrollment numbers are determined). I've
worked so hard in school to earn good grades, plus make
contacts in my districts, but no go. My friends in the
rural school districts have already been hired, and this is
quite depressing. Thanks, Meghan

I forgot to tell you in my other post to you. If you havent' been
teaching for at least 4 years I am not sure what happens. The best thing
is to contact the board of education in the state. I have emailed them
and have gotten a very quick response back. Most of the time within a
couple of hours. >>>...See More

My understanding is that with a completed teacher ed. program you are
eligible to for KS certification once you've taken the appropraite Praxis
exams, which would be your subject exam(s) and KS I believe requires
