Should I move to public school?

Thoughts on moving from independent school to public? I have a 30 minute commute now, but would love to move closer to my house (Mehlville school district). My list of pros and cons is weighted on the Independent school side now b/c no experience in public...so my question is "Is it worth it?". I have 4 sections, about 70 students total, 100% college prep, nearly 100% parent support. BUT, in addition, TONS of outside expectations, long written comments about each student, curriculum planning, and I think I'm low on the salary scale.

in Missouri What kind of retirement plan do you have witht he independent school? As I aproach retirement, I'm glad I switched to public school.
