We have "lost" 8 teaching days due to Hurricane Matthew and the recent snow/ice event. We are not extending the semester here despite being on a block schedule for high school with CTE, NCFE and EOC exams that are semester based. We did extend the school day a few minutes but that is not noticeable on our class schedule to me as a classroom teacher. Just wondering if this "no extension of the semester for weather closures" plan is true other places?
Here, too. On 1/10/17, hst wrote: > We have "lost" 8 teaching days due to Hurricane Matthew and > the recent snow/ice event. logicality Hyper-testing is a joke. It simply a mechanism of punitive control and reward to buddies who support campaigns. It's an expensive mistake that should not be tolerated by taxpayers. Teachers are quite capable of assessing teachers as they did for decades. Stop the waste, torture, and insanity.

logicality Pardon my quick typing with lack of proofreading. I should have said teachers can assess STUDENTS - not teachers. :)
