I would first contact the Regional Alternative License Center (RALC) in your area. They can help you with what is going to be required of you to gain a license and the classes needed. Many of the Lateral Entry teachers are very overwhelmed with lesson planning, classroom management, and the college class credit requirements that are needed. You are most defiantly going to have a better chance looking at charter schools. Have you thought about subbing or observing in the classroom setting prior to making such a large change?
