I have a question about contracts. I accepted a position at school A and then realized as the summer was going on through talking to staff, etc... that this was not the position for me. Another position came available that is more me and I verbally accepted it while sending in a resignation for the previous school. I gave them 30 days before the start of school to find someone which I felt badly about but also felt it was better for them to find someone better fitting to begin the school year. I never knew anything about not being able to break a contract, etc... The one page contract I signed does not state that I cannot resign and I just figured you always have that option. I am new to this so never thought to even ask anyone. Now I am nervous that I will not be let out of the contract before beinbg offered to sign the other one. Can anyone tell me their thoughts on this?
