Elementary teachers are asked to provide their students with experiences in the physical sciences—but what physics is appropriate at these ages? And how should it be taught? Come explore how elementary students can investigate force and motion in engaging ways, while still meeting state standards and frameworks. We'll discuss materials, appropriate areas of study, and teaching strategies. Led by Jeff Winokur, an early childhood and elementary science specialist and a professor in the Elementary Education Department at Wheelock College- Boston. Monday, April 2, 2012 from 4-6pm @ The Build Station, 99 Rockingham Park Blvd, Salem, NH – The Mall at Rockingham Park. Cost: $40 ($35 district teams of 5 or more).
