Does anyone else sub for Source4Teachers? Do you find it more difficult than usual to find sub jobs? They claim there are all these jobs... but I'm honestly seeing far less than when S4T wasn't supplying the subs for the district I work in.

I rarely see any jobs through Source4Teachers! I've had to apply at two separate districts who don't use S4T in hopes of finding some work. I just finished my degree and would like to get my foot in at a district, but at this rate... Where are all the jobs? Who is getting them? Certainly not me. Very frustrating.
I was a counselor for over 10 years. Recently my district abolished my position and hired a supervisor / counselor. My njea rep said I don't have seniority bc it is a new position. My argument is that she still sees over 150 kids and I should be entitled to that case load. Any advice?
Do the leave replacement teachers get paid close to the same salary as the regular teachers? Or do the leave replacement teachers get paid like substitutes?
ron/njI find it hard to believe that they won't release you and simply hire someone. Honesty is the way to go, tell the new job and see what they say. The board where you signed could make things very difficult for you in regards to license. Try talking to them again being overly nice but firm. Good luck and post update.
I am a forth year teacher who missed the three year tenure by a month based on my DOH. I am no longer enjoying teaching based on District and bureaucracy. If I resign my position what happens to my license and my pension?
ron/njYour license is fine and has nothing to do with resigning unless you don't give the required notice. If you leave earlier, that's a different story. If you never teach again, you might be able to get monies back paid in, not sure on that point. Talk to the union regarding the pension. Good luck.
Hi Everyone, I am a technology coach in NJ and looking to see if anyone has any insight into how to form PGOs. I am familiar with SGOs but now I am working with PGOs and although they are familiar, I am having some trouble forming them. Any ideas and suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. THANKS!

Did anyone get out early this week from the heat? I think the law is if it reaches 88 or 89 degrees in the building. It had to be that hot in the schools w/o ac.
