I work in 3 different schools. I heard it thru the grapevine that the principal at one of them has been discussing my performance with my colleagues, not with me. He has never personally observed me, is just going on what teachers that come to my classroom say. (I am a specialist).

I was given no guidance as to what performance objectives should be met, no coaching, and yet he is telling others that if it were up to him, I would not be rehired.

I am very upset. What can I do about this?

I am not tenured, it is my first year in the district. Can the union help me?

I don't even want to go to that school anymore.
ron/nj It won't hurt to run it by the union to see what they say. If you decided to take it to the next step, those that heard his remarks may not want to get involved and leave you with he said, she said. Good luck.
