Earlier this Spring I went through a very bad breakup and
was forced to move. Now that I'm on my feet, I'm anxious to
start subbing. How do I do this? Do I contact each district
directly and ask them to mail me an application? I'm
interested in Pawtucket, Providence, North Providence or
East Providence. Should I pick 2 districts and "stick" with
them? I've heard it's better to not be on too many lists.
Also, does anyone have experience with subbing in these
districts? I'm very worried about not getting called every
day (or at least 3 or 4 times a week.) That's one of the
reasons I've been so reluctant to apply. Thanks for the
help!

Some districts have applications online. That might be a
place to start. Personally, I'd go down to the district
office and pick up an appliction in person.

Be sure you have a copy of your certification and be
prepared to get fingerprinted.
