Hello, any retired Texas teachers who chose (or did not choose!) TRS Humana advantage? Can you share experience using it...coverage, doctors who accept, etc. or reasons why not,and what you chose instead? I need to decide as I'm facing 65 and I'm boggled by the choices. Thanks
Have any of you ever been audited by TEA when renewing your certificate. If so how does that work? Do they send you an email telling you to send in documents?
I am a current student and I am needing to interview two teachers. Is anyone available to answer the following questions...
1. What challenges do you find with the implementation of rules and consequences for the classroom?
2. What common practice should a teacher demonstrate and implement as it pertains to establishing rules and consequences in the classroom? What should be agreed and understood by everyone involved?
3. What strategies should a teacher avoid that can be detrimental as a disciplinary strategy?
4. What activity can a teacher implement to encourage joint effort with her students on the value and importance of rules and consequences for the classroom?
Many years ago, there was a rule about having classrooms within the same approximate area of same age group.. Is this still such a thing? My principal is wanting to put a 3rd grade classroom in the PK hallway and we were wondering if this was still an issue
I recently got hired as special education collab/resource teacher at a alternative middle School in a pretty rough part of San Antonio. Any advice? I've only taught kindergarten and 1st grade and I took the last 3 years off to have babies.
