I am from out of state and contemplating teaching in VA.....could someone tell me if Virginia teachers pay Social Security tax? I am trying to wade through these "Windfall Elimination Provision" problems teachers seem to run into in states where state employees do not pay social security tax. So if VA teachers do pay I think I no longer have to look into this issue. From the state education website it appears the answer is "yes", but I want to make sure.
