Hi! I only need 11 classrooms to complete my postcard exchange. I need a representative from IA, NH, NE, SD, AZ, HI, SC, NM, VT, MT & WY. Most of the participants are kindergartens. If you would like to join the exchange or would like more information, please email me. I will need your name, grade taught, school name and address, email address (home and school) and school phone number. Please help me out if you can!
We are a new postcard exchange, and we need a kinder, first, or second grade class from Vermont to participate. You will need to purchase 50-55 postcards to mail to all of the other states (and maybe a few to Canada). I am compiling all of the information, and will send all of the addresses out as soon as all of the "spots" are filled. In return, you will receive a postcard from every state, all throughout the year. This is a very exciting project! Please join us!
Teachers, If you are looking for an internet project to get involved in this year, please check this out. It will begin the first week of October and run through February. It will tie Social Studies and Science curriculum together through comparing community and weather data. I have done this project in the past, students enjoy it and they learn a great deal. Use the link to see the details, if you are interested please leave your information at the site on the 'i note! If you see that someone from your state has joined, that is okay. We can have multiple participants from the same state. If you have any further questions email me. Thanks, Terry Stoufer Project Coordinator
Currently I looked up the positions that are available in Gallup. There are 67 Elementary and Secondary positions that are available. I am sure that if you would like to teach a subject that is not listed on here and you have a college education, I will probably be able to find a position for you. Currently everyone, who has emailed me, I have been able to find a teaching postion for them. I have had a 100% success rate for finding teachers jobs this summer. However, only 8 people have emailed me. Only one of them has a teaching degree. Although, all of them are extremely motivated to teach. All that it takes in order to teach in Gallup is to have a great attitude and a college degree. I have great confidence that those who are going to teach this year will make an impact in this community.
When I was young and my parents were teachers, I shook my head and did not know why they wanted to become a teacher. I just emailed a few people and I submitting a response on why I wanted to become a teacher. I swore I would never enter into that teaching field. Now, many years later, I have joined the teaching profession and swear that I will no longer join another occupation. There seems to be a great intrinsic feeling when a child grasps a concept or when you know that you have made a difference in the world. It is amazing on how fast your actions could be duplicated. A teacher works with 180 different students a year. Those 180 students interact with many more people throught a year. If the actions of what you say can make a difference in the kids that you teach immagine how a lifetime of teaching can change the world. Every one of these positions that I am listing below in this email is available. Some of these positions are listed more than once. They are listed more than once because there are more than one of the same positions available. If you know of anyone who would like to teach in that particular position, please let me know and I will email them. Please send me your address in order for me to send you an application. You can call me if you have any possible questions. You can contact me at:

Please join our International Post Card Exchange! We have participants from Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Guam, Poland, and a host of other international locations.
We want to have participants from each state in the US. If you live in one of the following states and would like to participate, please email me ASAP! Thank You
We need: Alaska, Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
I am the membership secretary for the New England Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers and I am looking for physics teachers to add to our mailing list for upcoming conferences. If you teach physics or know someone who does, please email me and let me know your information (Name, school, address, email) so that I can add you to our list. Thank you, Cynthia Beals
We would like you to consider joining our Postcard Exchange. Everyone who signed up last year had a great response, so you can expect 50 postcards plus Washington, D.C., Canada and Puerto Rico arriving in late September to your classroom!
We just need Vermont, and we would also like one teacher from Canada.
Please email me ONLY if you are from Vermont or Canada and want to be a part of this great activity. We take one teacher per state, and only one teacher from any province in Canada.
I am a fifth grade teacher in California and am organizing the Second Annual Postcard Exchange. We will be mailing the postcards on September 24th, so you have lots of time to get ready.
In late August I will provide labels (or addresses in a Word document) to all the teachers involved. All you have to do is mail postcards from your state to the teachers on the labels. All the teachers in our exchange will do the same, and your classroom will receive postcards from all over the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
This is a super project to get your students involved in.
No cost except for the postcards and stamps to mail the postcards (students can bring them in, and your school district will probably pay for the postage!)
