I know I'll have to pay some money, but I'm concerned

I have never heard of anything being done with a license in
WI. Some states they can suspend you for 1 year if you do so,
but not in WI or IL. My advice would be to break the news to
the school...and hopefully they will release you. Else, then

sirrahalegna Check with your district HR people. We were trying to sell our house this summer but no luck. If I broke the contract less than 30 days from the first teacher day I would have had to pay $500. No impact on credential, though.
