Greetings, I wish everyone who reads this has had a good
summer. I am considering a move to the Northern IL/Southern
WI/possibly Milwaukee area within the next 3-4 years once I
have my masters' degree. I teach high school math and wish
to keep that teaching assignment for the next, perhaps,
FOREVER. (BIG SMILE) I am currently certified as such in
Illinois and on my initial certificate (four-year certificate).

I would like some general information on Wisconsin school
districts (especially around the Milwaukee/Racine/Kenosha
areas), regarding salary, working conditions, places to
avoid, and whether I could REALLY afford a house in any one
of those towns on a Masters' Degree salary.

Thanks and best wishes in the new year...J-

I've heard it's awfully hard to get a job in WI, people have
been trying for years. I think the special ed, math,
science teachers are getting some luck though!

If you teach for Milwaukee Public Schools you have to live within city limits. They
are very picky about this.
