Often children ask me what my favorite color is or something like that.

I was doing an assessment of an eight year old boy. He was very conversational. Out of the blue he asked me: "What are you most afraid of?"

I found this unusual and kinda deep coming from a young child.

Deb ms/IA I would take this question two ways:

1. Is this child going through something in his/her own life to make them ask an adult this question? What was the tone of this question? Was the child happy to ask this question? Contemplative? or Sinister? If it was sinister there is something deeper going on. I say this from the experience of a foste...See More
