I am getting back into the swing of regular exercise and went to spinning class this am. I am committed now as I got to try out my new spinning shoes. I really didn't know what to expect but it sure had a different feel to the ride. The instructor said the shoes help use the same muscles more efficiently then when I just wore my athletic shoes. It took some assistance to get the clips attached to the pedal. I didn't realize until today that I turn the pedal upside down to attach the shoe. Getting the shoes off was even more challenging then getting them on. I am sure with practice I will get the hang of it. I took it easy since I hadn't been to class for so long and only got in 15 miles this time. I had been doing more around 17 before not going.

I also rearranged my work schedule starting this week so I could attend class twice a week in order to be more consistant. Yep, 2017 will be a healthy year for me - got my shoes and the time= no excuses!

judycaret We watch blue ray DVDs, too, ha! In fact, DD and her husband gave us a treasured Christmas gift: the complete West Wing. Dated in more ways than one are we.

I walked 10,000 steps in California cold this morning. I need to lose my 4 lb. holiday gain.
