Got 18 miles on the bike today and my knees are telling me it was quite a workout.

Stopped at the store to buy my favorite salad ingredients - baby spinach, red bell pepper, cucumber, carrots and a little container of French dressing from the pizza shop there. It made for a tasty lunch change from the norm.

Getting colder by the weekend but not miserable. Have one more spinning class to attack this week. I think twice a week is enough for me so I don't get burned out before I can really see some results. I have noticed that the lung burn I had been coping with when exercising for several months has finally gone completely. It usually took about 30 minutes of hard exercise before it went away. Glad that ache is no longer part of the routine.

JRod I remember the lung burn when I was just starting out in my running days. Oh how I wanted to quit! Good job, men!

Well, today I did some self talk in the car to get on the cardio machines. As soon as I entered the gym, I felt the overwhelming dread of the boredom those machines induce. I just couldn't face them!
