Weight training day!

I increased all the weights from last weeks workout. I still had to tweak some weights on some exercises between sets to get the right feel.

--treadmill cardio, 5 minutes, 3.0 incline, 3.5 mph

--barbell squats, 32.5 lbs, 10 reps, 3 sets (used just barbell)

--barbell walking lunges, 32.5 lbs, 10 reps each leg, 3 sets (just barbell)

--incline dumbbell press, 15 lbs, 10 reps, 3 sets

--dumbbell flys, 10 lbs, 10 reps, 3 sets

--wide-grip lat pulldown, 45 lbs, 50 lbs, 55 lbs, 10 reps, 3 sets

--seated cable rows, 55 lbs, 60 lbs, 70 lbs, 10 reps, 3 sets

After workout, I did my stretches.

The weights are challenging my muscles without causing injury.

men52 I rode my bike on my own this morning before the oppressive heat hit. I was able to get in about 11 miles in. I took the youngest dgd to the pool after supper and she picked up some new "skills" like floating on her back and doing the kid favorite Cannonball! Place was packed with folks trying to beat the heat.

Elaine/ret/IN 11,404 steps today. Thank goodness for a bit of shade along the way.
