Strength training day!

The gym was quieter than usual today. I liked that very much. There are some exercisers that use the gym more for socializing and less for working out. Sometimes I get sucked into their conversations when all I really want to do is workout and get home.

Workout

--barbell squat, 65 lbs (no increase), 8 reps, 4 sets, 1:30 rest between sets

--barbell step ups, 42.5 lbs (10 lbs increase), 10 reps, 3 sets, 1:30 rest between sets

--barbell bench press, medium grip, 45 lbs (1st set), 50 lbs (sets 2&3), 8 reps, 4 sets

--cable crossover, 7.5 lbs (12.5 lbs decrease), 10 reps, 3 sets, 1:30 rest between sets (used a different machine that was much wider so I couldn't lift last weeks weight)

--underhand cable pulldowns, 52.5 lbs, 8 reps (2.5 lbs increase), 8 reps, 4 sets, 1:30 rest between sets

--dumbbell incline press, 20 lbs (no change), 8 reps, 4 sets, 1:30 rest between sets

I walked 90 minutes in slightly cooler weather. Need an attitude adjustment.

men52 Nice to see others are putting forth the effort while some, well me anyway, are slacking off. I spent several hours with the grandchildren waiting for their baked goods to be judged for the fair. The pumpkin muffins did very well but he yeast rolls not as well.
