Annual Schoolwide Recycling Program

Looking for a fun, spirited way to encourage your students to recycle? Trex Company, the world's largest manufacturer of wood-alternative decking products and a company rooted in sustainability, is launching its Trex Plastic Film Recycling Challenge for K-12 students, a friendly, national (U.S. and Canada) competition to collect and recycle the most plastic. Register your school and challenge your students to recycle the most plastic film (think grocery bags, case overwrap, newspaper sleeves, etc.) between November 15 (America Recycles Day) and April 22 (Earth Day). The winning schools receive beautiful Trex products, such as a Trex bench or bird feeder, for the school playground or campus. This is an easy-to-implement program that educates and engages students about the importance of recycling.
