One of my students (11year old boy with moderate learning disablilities and ASD) has gone from having his hands down his pants occasionally in class, to taking his genitals out in front of myself and others (staff and students).
He does it while working at desk, while in playground/sensory room etc.
We are trying to tell him thats private and I will work with Public/Private visuals for him... but anyone have any more ideas/strategies that have worked?
He is very autistic and has low attention span, but is very visual.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am aware this is only beginning to happen frequently now and we want to nip it in the bud before it escalates.
