2 years ago i got 3 referrals/calls. ALL of them were late July/early August. (After i had already accepted another position and contract.) So it's still early...

Thanks for the hope! I have wanted this for a long time, and I am finally at a place in my life were I can go on this journey! I have been worried that I have not heard anything, or received any referrals. So fingers crossed something happens this summer. Are you currently working for the DOD?

@Sandra09 and CMc, I was pretty sure all the locations with school nurse vacancies had local qualified hires. I with you both the best of luck. If you are hired, you will join a great group of nurses.

I'm local, but I have not received an interview request and it's been over a week when I received my referral notification. Not feeling optimistic for this year :(

Not an expert with military spouse benefits. I believe you could not claim the post allowance unless your husband was not claiming you for COLA (but could certainly be wrong).

i spent my college summers in Belgium. Small, quaint country, good chocolate and beer, easy to get to France, Germany, Netherlands via train. I didn't realize that USA jobs sent out referral notices. I thought people only received interview offers.

Thank you for all of the feedback! No, no one is pretending to be isitfriday. They have been very rude and borderline disrespectful in the past. This is truly them. I find it very sad that someone who work in education and with youth has this type of attitude. I truly hope that this is not how they behave in the workplace or classroom.
