Question: if hired late and arriving in a one year location after the start of the SY, does that impact RAT eligibility?

It's been a month since my interview for a stateside position. Any advice on how long it sometimes takes to find out if you made the cut or not?

Sometimes it takes a while, depending on what's going on for the principal. Up to a month or 2. You can call HR in Virginia to find out if the position was filled. A few people have had success with that. Have you checked your EAS application to see if it's locked? Sometimes your application will be locked if you are the chosen applicant.

I planned my move with the taxation in mind. I did the normal hhg but left the car and did no do unaccompanied. I sent my stuff super early so I ended up having to mail myself a lot of stuff. I was figuring unaccompanied would be around 4000 dollars government cost so the taxes and increased taxable income were more then the 700 I paid in postage. ...See More
