Are any of you getting interviews or hired for elementary positions? I know I am probably unrealistically hoping at this point seeing as it is my first year applying, but I haven't even so much as made a referral list. I'm just wondering what qualifications y'all have and years of experience. Sorry if I'm asking too many questions.
WaitingOnDoDEAStill waiting too. Made the top 25 and was referred, but haven't heard anything. From my understanding, one of the places that I was referred to still has not been filled and they haven't started interviewing yet either. I don't know why they haven't started, but still holding out hope.

She said (1) yes, I'm consider...See MoreSo all I got is my tentative offer, and I returned everything that came to me last week. I called my HR rep to ask: (1) If I would need to go through EQIP again—I'm DDESS— (2) if I will be stop getting paid next week (end of SY pay year) because I'm transitioning to DODDS, and (3) What my next steps are..
She said (1) yes, I'm considered a new hire because I'm coming from DDESS. I need to go through background check all over again. I should be waiting for EQIP emails; (2) she asked me back why I wouldn't get paid. (3) She said what I have is a tentative offer, so everything comes AFTER background investigation is CLEARED. It wasn't helpful. I saw some people posting here that they did EQIP and other paperwork concurrently. Is it because my HR rep is a by-the-book person?
I inquired if my travel would be delayed because I'm two weeks away from the recommended travel date. She said it MAY. I'm getting very frustrated because her first email states I wouldn't need EQIP if there is a full reciprocity.
STRESSEDAm I supposed to get the EQIP request form from my HR rep? I remember I did get a form that specifically says EQIP request 4 years ago. The only security-related forms I got this time are OF 306 and IRC FAP.
As far as pay goes.... if you haven't resigned from your old position I would think you would continue to get paid. If you don't actually start the year with them you would owe that money back and if you do a partial year you could owe a pro-rated amount. Alternately, if you start the new position on time but after 1st paycheck, you would get back pay... so owe one but get paid for the other. This is just my perception on how it works based on the fact that they are 2 separate organizations... this is how it works for me going from outside the system to inside.
On average (lol), how long (days, weeks, months) is/has it taken to receive e-QIP access following your PSIP email? How long would you wait before following up?
HelpOthersIf they have your previous background check on file, I don't understand why you would still be line of sight. I would ask them to have whoever sent you that e-mail send you a correction or I would ask to complete the form in question. No sense in taking chances.
HelpOthersNever mind. I misunderstood. I thought you had a previous one on file that had been fully vetted, but now realize you are saying they have the paperwork on file and need to continue with completing the background check while you work in line of sight. Makes sense.
How many candidates do principals normally interview for a DoDEA job stateside/overseas? Just curious if it is normally a certain amount or dependent on each principal. Thanks
WA_CounselorAfter pinging my HR rep, she put Ms. Reed in touch with me and I was able to get my prints done electronically at the nearby VA while I was on leave on Friday. The fingerprint technician seemed to think that one of the codes provided to me by Ms. Reed was one digit short, so I'm hoping that he's mistaken and things will continue to move forward.
Hello, all. We recently sent our reference letters to the address that was listed on the form that the references filled out, but it was sent back as "Return to Sender". Does anyone know if there is an updated address for this?
IsItFriday?Remember, mailed-in paperwork is at a high risk to be lost. There seems to be a pattern at HQ of unanswered emails, unanaswered phones, and even lost mail. Various posters have complained here at one time or another.
Try to have the references submitted through the emails that are automatically generated by the EAS.
