This is my 7th year applying for a position with DoDEA, I have never received a referral for an overseas position. I have had a few for some stateside school and even a job offer for a school in PR. Which I turned down. Holding out for Okinawa, Japan, or Korea.
Hopefully, this is my year!

I would agree that anything to do with a spouse is a non-factor. You should definitely try and add some certification areas. If you have a degree in SPED of some type then it should only be a matter of a few classes at most to add Mod to Sev (ES,MS,HS) and/or EI (ES, MS, HS) which would definitely boost your chances.

o I took a look at my transcripts. If I took 4 three hour class dealing with Severe disabilities and 3 class for EI, I could increase my certs.
If you take class dealing with Severe disabilities they count for both the Severely Learning Impaired/Multiple Disabilities and the Mod to Severe LI cert. Correct?

Ideally they would count for both as long as the title or description has severe or intellectual disabilities in it. I'd just start googling online special Ed classes.

As teach said, they should work for both if the title and description is similar to most SPED courses like that. Try Grand Canyon. I got my Master in SPED (plus a few more course) through them and it was all online.
