Nope. I've never had fingerprints done before. DODEA requires fingerprinting either in their office or at a local police station.

It's odd that they should use the term firm offer. Traditionally your tentative offer is only considered firm when you receive your orders (and that's all the confirmation you get).

Thats fast! I am waiting on getting my background paperwork to fill out and the fingerprint information. If you do the fingerprints at a local police station, are you required to then mail them to headquarters? Is this a requirement even if you have had fingerprints for a state certification in the last year?

So I think the requirements for fingerprints vary by what your state has/does for fingerprints. I live in Texas and here you go through the Department of Public Safety, get fingerprint card, and have to mail it to a different service for your check. Maybe Texas is just unique.

My understanding/experience is that you have to mail in to HR and that DoDDS does not accept any state or other organization's background check.
