Lengthy Process

This process is so confusing. I have received my tentative offer, finished the initial paperwork and submitted. Then received info for official passports, just sent those applications off, but have received nothing on fingerprints or background checks. It has been over 2 weeks since the initial offer. I tried to ask about the fingerprints so that I could send it all out at the same time and was told to wait until that department contacted me. Is it normal to get passport info/applications prior to fingerprinting info and is it normal for it to take this long to get that info? Also, I just checked today and for the first time my account says "frozen for processing."

SandArt Redclover, in 2 weeks you got an e-mail for passports, but you just got info for the background check? I am one week out and have not had a single e-mail for anything. I e-mailed, like you suggested, but she said they (security team) would contact me.

haha As of a few years back fingerprints had to be inked and mailed in (FedEx). I'm sure someone can give you the most recent requirements.

Redclover711 They told me they could be ink and cards would come fed ex in the mail as you said haha. Sand Art, it was a few days after the clarification and resend of paperwork that I got the email for passports. Then its been about a week since that email that I just got background check and fingerprint info. Hang in there....it doesn't seem to be consistent ...See More

SandArt I am so glad you're a week ahead of me. I haven't heard anything since I accepted the tentative offer on April 12th. I did apply for a passport on my own a couple weeks ago, though.
