Has anyone had their referenced checked and NOT received an offer???

I was wondering the same thing. I just interviewed and references were checked. I'm also wondering how long after references were checked was your application inactive? Do you get an e-mail saying so or should I just be checking my application? And how long after that would one get a tentative offer (I'm guessing that is the next step)? Where are y...See More

Lilly, most people I have read on here stated they got an e-mail. That came a day before my offer. However, it varies and some people say 2 days.

I had my references checked before my interview. Still no news after three weeks. I was told there was a short hiring window during my interview…so not sure on the status now. Still trying to keep hopeful!

As people have discovered, there are no hard and fast rules or roads to getting hired with DoDDS. As far as I know, my references were never checked when I was hired.
