Make sure that in your DODEA application, the category where it says "Target Location and Availability Date (Local Applicants Only)" in your application you check off only the local schools in Germany you want to be considered for hire . Thank you for your advice . On the application I have selected the local schools in the area . I have a common cetficiation EC-6 . I was thinking about adding ESL to my cetficiation before we pcs . I have also applied to be a sub . The sub job was canceled and no hires was consider . I just wish the process wasn't so difficult .

My application status has just updated to qualified . I hope that is a good sign.

I am in the same position but with a report date to Germany next August. Where on the application can I find the local applicants only? I was only able to choose Germany as a preference. Any help appreciated!

I wasn't able to mark local hire . I just left my application with preference to Germany . What part of Germany are you PCSing to ?
