New (last year) teacher here. Son graduated and is now back in the states for college. After registering, and speaking with advisor, and scheduling his classes now, they only scheduled him for 11 credit hours, not the minimum of 12 we told him to schedule (to be considered full-time). What should we do to get that other credit hour in so it doesn't affect benefits, etc.? Would taking an online course to fill in the 1 missing credit hour work and, if so, can you recommend any schools for this?
haha It should. I know of teachers' children who take just online classes and stay eligible as full time students. There are tons of online programs depending on what he is studying.

SandArt I'd go online and encourage him to get a new advisor. What kind of advisor enrolls you for 11 credits? My kids (one is a college graduate in grad school and one still in college) typically took at least 15 credits. With 11 credits, I can't imagine him graduating on time, especially if he changes a major which happens a lot.
