I'm currently filling out the inprocessing packet. When it asks if I want "Non-Temporary Storage", does this mean storage here in the US or overeas? Am I correct in thinking that they will pay for the storage as well?
haha Generally that means storage in the US instead of shipping everything to your new location. Yes, generally the gov't pays for the storage (from my understanding, we have never actually used the option).

Ida This was explained to me like this when we were considering it: you don't have access to the stuff. If you want any of it you can request delivery of all of it one time. We ended up not storing anything that way because we wanted access to our things. So just wanted to mention.

HelpOthers The above comments are correct. However people who have used it have usually said they wish they had not. The storage is not environmentally protected (AC/dehumidifier), so often the items are ruined by mold or pests or just plain dis-use, or stays there so long, you forget what was even there and end up replacing anything you might need rather tha...See More
