Thus may not be the best time to start with DoDEA in a stateside position as a new hire. Hopefully you didn't leave with a position with a good retirement package only to accept a position with an expiration date.

I'm sure your new supervisor can update as to the probability of keeping your job.

someday There is a chance this could happen but the military communities are going to put up one heck of a fight. I give it a 10% chance of happening across all installations within 5 years. Just a guess though!

haha True. It's written like a new story but it has been kicking around for years. It may happen, it may not. It is true that it may be one factor to consider when accepting a DoDEA stateside job.
