completed all onboarding paperwork and medical paperwork request for orders etc. by oct 25
went and completed official passports and sent them to HQ
received Eqip link Nov 16, completed Nov 16
fingerprint cards are due to arrive today, going at 11:30 to complete and then mail next day air...
how much longer is the wait for security going to be?? emailed HR weekly since October asking for security clearance and eqip link and was told it was processing...

It was 6 weeks before I got the eqip link or fingerprint cards from security. I submitted eqip and fingerprints early this week so now I wait for clearance and orders...

Just curious, is the offer you received for the current school year, 2017-18? If so, does anyone know if it is normal to receive offers do late? Do those classes just have substitute teachers right now?

Pam, I am in the same situation as you. I received my tentative offer August 23, completed paperwork and now just waiting....and waiting. I keep in touch with my principal and she mentioned she had 3 new employees all offered in the same week and all three of us are waiting. Maybe soon!

Any offer being made now is for the current school year. Either there is currently a substitute covering the opening/class or there could be no one if it is a specialist position without a regular classroom schedule.
