The background check will still be valid, but they do expire every few years. I think it's every 2 or 3, can't remember. So depending on how long ago she's had her becakgound check, she may need to do another one. Internal employees usually receive tentative offers, however the process for receiving the final offer is usually much faster.

It still says tentative. The employee still needs to get the physical and MAY need a new background check. Some have evidence of passing the background check in their personnel file and some do not, so it depends on this for the background check. I believe it is due every 5 years.

Also, the sending principal may be consulted about the timing, especially if it will be mid-school-year.
