So, I've been trying to keep patient and been praying for guidance in this whole process. I am a local hire (Germany) and I received my tentative offer May 2nd. I completed my EQIP May 15th and my in-processing paperwork May 21st. I also completed my fingerprints back in April (I was originally hired as a teacher's aide-- Not even sure if I have to get them retaken or not).

I have not received/heard anything since submitting my in-processing paperwork to the school secretary. I have emailed/called my HR rep. numerous times with no response. I am starting to panic. Is the process slower/different for local hires? Any advice on what to do or who to contact?

I know many of you have yet to complete EQIP and have to get orders and such, but, to me, my timeline seems "off" and SUPER slow.

Any help or encouragement would be GREATLY appreciated! :)

HelpOthers Talk to the secretary or principal. You may be able to start as line of sight until your background check clears.

haha As posted, for a local hire there is so much less involved/to worry about. You should still be fine, time wise. I would check in with HR and the school secretary.
