I'm shipping my car to Camp Humphrey's South Korea soon. Should I cancel my auto insurance before it ships or when it gets to South Korea when I get different insurance? Also, how did you prep your car before shipping? I've had it inspected, oil changed, 4 new tires, etc. Is there anything else I need to have done?

bhub From what I've read, most use USAA, Geico (request military department), or Korea's AIG. When I was stationed in Japan, there was a local Japanese insurance office on on Yokota Air Base. We bought that insurance.

IsItFriday? Agreed.

But Korea's AIG is expensive.

On base agents or are convenient but that doesn't mean they are cheap, Try to organize your insurance before you go, or be aware that you still need to compare prices.
