This is making me very sad!! I am so hopeful and wanting this so badly. I have gone from 4 qualifications to 8 in the last year taking classes and trying to increase my chances. I'm still working on it. I'm taking another Praxis this month to hopefully add at least one more. Thank you for the information!

BeyondHopeful, how much does taking the the Praxis tears help in increasing qualifications in DoDEA? I was told that college credits is what qualifies you. I was wondering causeI am working on increasing my certifications now as well.

If you are state certified to teach something, you need half as many college credits (still specific ones: ex: World History), but not the entire amount. Some states allow you to add certification by passing a praxis exam. So then Dodea will give you certifications if you have half the number of credits.

I agree with Wilma. It depends on what your state requires for you to be certified. For mine, I already have taken the middle school math praxis and the extra reading classes that were required for my certification, so now all I need to take is the ms plt praxis to be state certified.
