Hi! I stumbled upon this site last weekend and am trying to learn as much as I can. I have read that qualifications relate directly to credit hours but on the website there is not a specific number of hours listed for elementary 1-3. I have 30+ hours in the coursework listed but no state certification. Do I have to have a degree or certificate in elementary to qualify?

Second, is PSCD half day for the kids and part time for the teacher?
haha They generally prefer a degree and/or state certification but I do not believe it's required unless they specify on that section of the site. Credit requirements are generally 30 or 24 so you should be covered. When in doubt, submit your application and see what they say.

I believe PSCD is half day but teachers are not part time. So, maybe...See More

KYPreK Thank you! I will add it and see what happens. I am glad to hear that it would not be a part time position.

HelpOthers They tend to only hire for overseas positions from CONUS if they are full-time positions. so a PSCD teacher might have a morning and afternoon class, or might teach PSCD half-day and be ESL or Reading specialist or sped LIMM teacher, etc. the other half depending on certs.
