Hi all, just curious as to how hard it is to find child care for young children when you move. I feel like after orders, the move happens quickly. Do they offer childcare on base if you live off base?
RJ Stateside you can get on the waitlist at the CDC on base, however DOD and Gov contractors have the lowest priority, especially if only one of the parents is working. Bases also have FCC (in home daycares vetted by the base). Outside the base you would have your usual private day cares etc. If I were you, I would start looking into that before you m...See More

haha Overseas bases will all have a CDC and it does not seem that people have any difficulty get their children in (in most cases). There will also generally be private care, local/military spouses offering care etc. (depending on your location).
