For those of you in Japan: Do I need to be vaccinated against Japanese Encephalitis? I accepted a tentative offer for Japan but I haven't seen any information about immunizations.
HelpOthers It's not required for DoD but recommended. I had my physical done on a military facility for free and they included it. If you live near a military facility, see if they have an occupational section of their hospital for physicals. Just Me I was told I didn't need any vaccinations or a physical. I'm heading to Okinawa.

HelpOthers That is very new. In the past, we needed a physical to go overseas and dependents needed a medical statement saying they could go.

Icanread Japanese encephalitis vaccine is not a requirement for teachers But it is recommended by the CDC. All of the Marines are required to get it. After the first year, you do need a booster.
