My wife is a Japanese National but she is a Permanent Resident Alien of the US (she's had her green card for about 17 years). My kids are both US and Japanese citizens. How does this work out when I submit our application for our passport and visas to Italy?
haha I can't really offer anything useful as both of my postings were under SOFA status, as opposed to requiring visas. Definitely ask HR specifically, or better yet, have them put you in touch with a/the visa "expert" so you can try and avoid as many mistakes/last minute crises as possible.

IsItFriday? You will use your US passport. Your wife will use her Japanese passport. And the kids will use their US passports.

BubbleHead711 HR's response to additional paper work for Japanese National spouse. No, she will just apply for the Visa with the passport that she has from Japan along with her green card. She will not need to apply for the official (military) passport.
