I'm on my way to Japan. My dependent will be joining me in March 2021. On the "Dependent Travel" section of my orders "concurrent" is marked. Do I need an amendment? I emailed my HR rep and have not receive an answer.

On page 2, under "Remarks or other Authorizations" it says "Dependent travel must be completed within one year from the effective date of the employee's initial appointment". I don't know if this last remark is enought and implies that he can travel at a later time.

haha Yeah, I've never used anything but concurrent travel for dependents. I have always assumed something else would be checked if I had arranged for delayed travel, but have no idea if that is really the case for your situation. Did HR ever get back to you? It would be nice to know, for future reference.

hunter190 HR finaly got back to me. However, the answer was very vage. According to them, my dependent can travel later later as soon as the travel is completed within one year of my initial appointment. Yes, I knew that.
