Oh...but just to clarify, I'm not saying don't get the cert. I'm just saying if you do get the cert, don't quit searching for you target "day job."

Basically agree. If they need a full time Information Specialist, they would likely hire an experienced and qualified Information Specialist, unless, they need that person to teach other areas, or think that they might in the future.
