Comp. 4 - MC Gen.

I'm struggling to pick a focus group of students to use for component 4 and I'd love thoughts and advice. I teach 29 students in a 4th grade Highly Gifted Center class. There is a significant achievement gap between my white students and my students of color. I was thinking about having my student group be students of color. I would collect various information of these students by analyzing last year's office referral data and current levels of performance. Thoughts? If my group needs to be smaller, I can focus on students of color who also receive free or reduced meals. But, the directions also say that my group would be the entire class. I'd love any guidance on the direction I should take for this beast!
