Component 2-differentiation

I am wondering if anyone can clarify the directions on this component. It says to select 2 different writing assignments (one expository, one narrative) in a 3-4 week period. I have been focusing on narrative and can show my students growth in that writing type. Do I choose the beginning of the unit narrative piece and then an expository one hoping they have made growth in writing in general? I am not sure how to show my differentiation techniques and their progress when I am sharing 2 different writing types in a 3-4 week period. What are other teachers doing? Thanks for any advice!!

firstgradegirl This is my issue also, I am EC/ GEN and have to select three pieces. I am confused as to how I write about this being that it is different genres
